Sensory Challenges
Changes to vision, hearing, smell, taste and touch can all impact people living with dementia differently. Sensory challenges are some of the most overlooked aspects of dementia.

There is currently no cure for dementia and treatments treat symptoms rather than the cause of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. A study conducted by the Alzheimer's Society about public perceptions of dementia found that research to find a cure and ways to prevent Alzheimer's disease were top priority. However, this does not mean that research for ways to improve quality of life should be neglected.
